CHEERS TO ALL OF US AND OUR SUCCESS AND TO MANY MORE LBS GONE...FOREVER!!!
I've been taking Prozac in the capsule form since before my surgery. I stopped taking it for about 2 weeks and my surgeon said get back on my psychiatric meds. It gives me heart burn every once in a while but other that that it works great.

I had lap-band on 10/27/2008 and cannot believe that 6 months have passed already! I've lost more than 80# from my highest and have gone from size 26/28 to size 18. Looking forward to better health and activity.
My surgery was on 10/30/08. I am very happy. On my first visit with my Dr. he told me he wanted me to lose 100 pounds and I have lost 83 since then.
sorry this post is like a month late but I just saw it today.
take care everyone!

Had VSG on October 8th, and I have lost a total of 84 pounds so far!! Woohoo!!!!
Feel absolutely fantastic, and have ZERO complications or problems (other than gallstones and having to have my gallbladder removed in a couple weeks).
I eat pretty much whatever I want and have no sensitivities or issues. I just eat small portions, fill up easitly, and am rarely, if ever hungry.
This surgery is a miracle, and I tell everyone I know about it....
6 weeks after my surgery I had my first fill - didn't notice any difference
A month later had a second fill - didn't notice any difference
A month later had a third fill - didn't notice to much of a difference, only once I felt uncomfortable.
The weight was coming off, little by little. And I was happy with any weight coming off.
Then came the 4th fill - (a total of 5cc in the band) and holy moly! I feel it now!!!! I have to eat incredible slow, and chew my food until there is not much to swallow. It's a lot harder now. Things are constantly uncomfortable, but this is what it's all about.
I have a scheduled follow-up appointment in 2 weeks and I am sure there will be a difference in weight loss. I am down 2 pants sizes, it's happening and I am so excited!!!
The outcome - 6 months and 40 pounds! Yippee!!!!
Hi to all the October 2008 surgery pals. I am searching through the site tonight trying to join some groups and ask some questions. I agree about the energy. In only this short amount of time I cannot believe all the weight loss 110 lbs. I still have to tell myself to eat. I have given away bags and bags of clothes. I finally have gotten over the nightmare of wondering if I will wake up fat in the morning. My husband who loved me "fluffy" is OK with the new me. The hair loss is making me crazy though. I have been taking biotin since 6 months pre surgery and still take it now does not seem to help at all. I still drink a lot of isopure, gets me through my day. No red meats, afraid to eat salad, eggs do not agree with me and I love them and miss them. Breakfast was my favorite meal. Thinking I will have the inner thigh trouble. So much flabby loose skin. How are the rest of you doing in all these ares???
Cant wait to hear from you jennifer
